About The Position

The candidate will perform quantitative analysis, including gathering, documenting, analyzing, and drawing conclusions on data and information. The candidate will support business strategy, risk mitigation, and project management across organizational initiatives. Responsible for supporting scoping and planning for internal and external inspection teams supporting multiple Distribution and Transmission programs, including detailed inspections in high-fire and non-high-fire areas, annual grid patrols, streetlight patrol surveys, infrared scanning, and intrusive pole evaluations.

Requirements

  • Data management skills, including data structure and controls design, data querying, and report development.
  • Time management skills to manage resolution of work aligned with workflow and inspection due dates.
  • Ability to engage multiple SMEs across multiple organizations, present issues and potential solutions, and secure support from stakeholders.
  • Project tracking capability from issue identification, causal analysis, and solutioning through to resolution.
  • Data visualization reporting and dashboard development.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, SAS, SAP, Power BI, SQL, Python, and Snowflake.
  • SAP experience navigating work orders, maintenance plans, maintenance documents, and FLOC/Equipment data.
  • ArcGIS experience joining different visual layers and maps (districts, FLOCs, circuits, hexbins, constrained areas) to create effective data tables.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategies that support business needs for the efficient and effective use of best practices.
  • Identify requirements, approaches, solutions, costs, risks, and options to address business needs.
  • Lead implementation activities for initiatives, applications, or feature sets.
  • Maintain project documentation including definitions, requirements, conversion, testing, implementation, and training.
  • Prioritize initiatives by assessing business value for effort and developing options.
  • Collaborate with vendors to understand product direction, release strategy, and timeframe.
  • Maintain a broad knowledge of current and emerging state-of-the-art computer/network systems technologies, architectures, and products.
  • Manage schedules for data collection and processing, contractor deliverables, quality assurance, risk assessment, and final delivery of inspection results.
  • Lead meetings across all phases of the inspection process, from data collection through risk review and distribution.
  • Develop, maintain, and distribute progress reports covering inspection collection, processing, delivery, quality control, and risk evaluation.
  • Coordinate communications and manage impacts among contractors and internal stakeholders involved in inspections, data processing, and overall program support.
  • Manage the inspection program's financial planning and execution.
  • Create scope packages and work orders for scope refreshes, taking all necessary steps to ensure accuracy and compliance with guidelines.
  • Collaborate with SP&E and Inspections teams to improve scoping strategies, such as work order bundling and minimizing visits.
  • Maintain and refine lessons learned and change control logs for the planning and scoping process.
  • Communicate and meet with stakeholders periodically to ensure feedback is obtained and reviewed against existing and future planning efforts.
  • Prepare weekly performance reports, including UTC Trackers, Customer Access Trackers, and CROPS & Government Lands Trackers.
  • Perform mapping by creating .kmz files and spatial joins in Excel to determine potential access issues related to CROPS and Government Lands.
  • Create work orders for released access issues and send them to vendors with detailed notes regarding appointments, gate codes, special instructions, and contact information.
  • Track and oversee constrained inspections to actively mitigate the potential for non-compliant inspections and missed risk mitigation commitments.
  • Drive down duplicate inspection charges associated with access issues.
  • Assist in the development and monitoring of data management tools to provide timely and accurate status reporting to management.
  • Identify follow-up actions required by various stakeholders in the inspection workflow.
  • Utilize data management tools and process improvements to support timely status reporting and workflow action identification.
  • Monitor and track performance to ensure completion of various scopes on a regular basis.
  • Run regular daily/weekly and ad hoc reports internally and externally, conduct special analyses to resolve issues and improve processes, perform cost/finance analyses, and resolve contractor or internal data discrepancies.
  • Identify data discrepancies through SAP, InspectApp, and EZYViewer research using systems like SAS Enterprise, SAS VA, SAP, Power BI, Python, WiSDM, and Snowflake.
  • Report on historical performance by structure, region, and resource.
  • Identify and resolve synchronization issues.
  • Analyze trends in survey results by inspector, resource, and inspection type.
  • Validate that inspections are populating accurately in dashboards (SAS, Power BI) and follow through to resolution.
  • Communicate with InspectApp/InspectForce teams across internal departments and IT regarding sync issues and resolution tracking.
