Reporting to the Manager, Business Analysis, the Senior Business Analyst leads the analysis and delivery of complex, cross-functional business initiatives that support both day-to-day operations and the strategic objectives of Doctors of BC. Working closely with teams across the organization, the Senior Business Analyst partners with interest holders to elicit and analyze business requirements, evaluate processes and systems, develop business cases and recommendations, and design practical solutions that improve organizational effectiveness. As a trusted advisor, the Senior Business Analyst facilitates interest holder alignment, influences decision-making, and provides strategic insight on business impacts, risks, opportunities, and organizational dependencies. The role supports projects end-to-end, including future-state process design, requirements analysis, solution evaluation, testing coordination, implementation planning, and change adoption. The Senior Business Analyst ensures that systems, processes, and workflows evolve in a structured, consistent, and integrated manner across the organization. In addition, the Senior Business Analyst establishes and promotes business analysis best practices, provides guidance and mentorship to other analysts, and contributes to the successful resolution of complex business challenges with organization-wide impact. Through strong analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills, the role enables informed decision-making and the successful delivery of strategic business outcomes.

Requirements

  • University degree in business or computer science or a related field, and/or a certified Business Analyst with a minimum of 8 years experience or a relevant combination of education and experience.
  • Solid analytic and problem-solving skills with demonstrated proficiency related to interpretation and translation of specific business needs into delivery of workable data management and reporting solutions
  • Demonstrated experience leading large, complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Experience developing business cases and strategic recommendations.
  • Experience facilitating executive level workshops and decision making.
  • Excellent attention to detail with demonstrated document management skills, particularly in an electronic environment.
  • Exceptional organizational and planning skills with the ability to handle multiple projects at any one time.
  • Superior verbal and written communications skills and a strong command of the English language.
  • Demonstrated experience with preparing reports and presentations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience in managing customer relationships with multiple interest holder groups, understanding business priorities, and determining project requirements.
  • Experience advising directors and senior leaders and providing mentorship to other team members.
  • Understanding of change management in implementing effective business solutions and systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with diplomacy and professionalism.
  • Ability to work effectively at various levels of an organization from individual contributors to senior managers.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
