About The Position

The Canadian Mortgage Investment Group is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support and enhance our Mortgage Hub vendor application, along with related business functions. In this role, you will bridge the gap between business requirements and technology solutions, driving operational excellence across our mortgage servicing and investment platform. You will play a critical role in translating complex mortgage workflows into actionable system requirements while providing ongoing production support and enabling process improvements.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional experience as a Business Analyst with proven expertise in requirements gathering and documentation
  • Strong SQL skills for investigating data issues, validating file ingestion, and querying relational databases; experience with SQL Server queries and stored procedures
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for diagnosing data ingestion issues, file mapping problems, and operational discrepancies across system integrations
  • Proficiency in writing business requirements documents, test plans, and test cases; experience documenting servicer onboarding specifications and data flow requirements
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to translate technical issues and servicer requirements into clear business language and vice versa
  • Deadline-driven and results-oriented; ability to meet consistently high quality standards while managing production support, enhancements, and multiple concurrent projects
  • Ability to contribute effectively with minimal ramp-up time

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant experience as a Business Analyst in mortgage servicing, lending operations, or mortgage investment platforms, with demonstrated understanding of mortgage workflows including funding, securitization, and unsecuritization processes
  • Experience with mortgage servicing platforms, loan origination systems (LOS), or similar vendor applications used in mortgage operations
  • Familiarity with mortgage-backed securities (MBS), securitization workflows, and regulatory reporting requirements in mortgage lending
  • Experience with Mortgage Hub or comparable mortgage servicing platforms

Responsibilities

  • Develop documents for IT applications, system specifications, and test plans according to existing standards and methodologies
  • Translate business needs, processes, and procedures into workable systems; articulate specific software requirements by communicating with technology experts and business stakeholders
  • Work closely with business architects and other technology staff to deliver project results while implementing risk analysis and meeting required deliverables
  • Apply strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose data ingestion issues, file mapping problems, and operational discrepancies across third-party servicer integrations
  • Execute SQL queries and database analysis to investigate data issues, validate file ingestion, and troubleshoot system problems
  • Support production operations, enhancements, new initiatives, and servicer onboarding across multiple concurrent projects
  • Provide knowledge transfer and onboarding support during team transitions
