About The Position

The Business Analyst at Confluent Health plays a critical role in advancing enterprise initiatives by partnering with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders to define, document, and deliver well-designed solutions across the organization. This role focuses on understanding how work is performed today, helping stakeholders think through future-state workflows, and translating those needs into clear, actionable requirements for technology, data, and operational teams. The Business Analyst serves as a bridge between clinical operations and technical delivery—ensuring solutions are feasible, scalable, and aligned with both care delivery and business objectives. This position supports initiatives spanning clinical operations, revenue cycle management, workforce, enterprise systems, reporting, and analytics, and contributes to portfolio visibility and governance through consistent documentation, intake support, and cross-team collaboration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of experience in business analysis, clinical operations, healthcare analytics, or related roles.
  • Experience working in healthcare, clinical operations, or multi-site care delivery environments preferred.
  • Strong skills in requirements gathering, documentation, workflow analysis, and stakeholder facilitation.
  • Experience collaborating with Data, BI, and IT teams on reporting, analytics, or system-related initiatives.
  • Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Asana or similar platforms).
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Requirements Gathering & Business Analysis:
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (clinical, operations, finance, IT, Data, BI) to gather, document, and validate business and technical requirements.
  • Plan and manage business analysis activities, including defining scope, identifying stakeholders, and selecting appropriate analysis techniques based on initiative complexity.
  • Develop clear, structured documentation including requirement specifications, workflow diagrams, process maps, user stories, and use cases.
  • Facilitate requirement review sessions to ensure shared understanding, prioritization, and alignment.
  • Analyze current-state processes to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure requirements are actionable, complete, and aligned with strategic and operational objectives.
  • Support the development and adoption of standardized PMO templates for requirements gathering, analysis, outcomes tracking, and documentation to ensure consistency and quality across projects.
  • Clinical & Operational Workflow Support
  • Support initiatives focused on clinical documentation, outcomes measurement, scheduling optimization, access, compliance, and care delivery workflows.
  • Evaluate how clinical processes interact with systems, data sources, and reporting tools to ensure feasibility and sustainability.
  • Recommend process and workflow improvements that balance clinical effectiveness, operational efficiency, and data integrity.
  • Partner with PMs and Ops leaders to ensure requirements support measurable outcomes and adoption.
  • Enable data-informed process improvements by considering downstream reporting, compliance, and performance measurement needs during design.
  • Help reduce workflow variation by supporting standardization where it improves quality, efficiency, and adoption.
  • Solution Design & Delivery Support
  • Assist in solution design activities, including workflow visualization, wireframe development, and functional design discussions.
  • Translate business and clinical needs into clear, structured inputs for internal technical teams and external vendors.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) by validating requirements, defining test scenarios, and confirming outcomes meet expectations.
  • Support solution evaluation by validating delivered outcomes against requirements and helping stakeholders assess effectiveness, adoption, and opportunities for refinement.
  • Assist with end-user training and change readiness when needed, including documentation of workflows, job aids, and operational impacts.
  • Stakeholder Communication & Enablement
  • Act as a liaison between clinical teams and technical teams, ensuring clear, consistent communication.
  • Facilitate alignment across stakeholders to resolve ambiguities, dependencies, and handoffs early in the lifecycle.
  • Communicate requirements, progress, risks, and insights in a way that is accessible to both clinical and technical audiences.
  • Partner closely with Project Managers to ensure requirements are clear and sequenced, stakeholder inputs are aligned and decision-ready, and risks, dependencies, and change impacts are proactively identified and addressed throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support effective decision-making by ensuring stakeholders have clear context, assumptions, and trade-offs.
  • Support change readiness by helping document workflows, training needs, and operational impacts of changes.
  • Contribute to governance and intake processes by ensuring requests are well-defined and aligned to strategic priorities.
