Senior Business Analyst - Insurance

About The Position
Blanc Labs is looking for a Senior Business Analyst with deep expertise in the Property & Casualty insurance domain, specifically Workers' Compensation, to support the implementation and enhancement of Sapiens CoreSuite Claims and Digital solutions. This role will partner closely with business stakeholders and technology teams to analyze business processes, define functional requirements, and ensure successful delivery of enterprise insurance initiatives.
Requirements
- Extensive experience as a Business Analyst within the insurance industry
- Strong domain expertise in Workers' Compensation claims and business processes
- Hands-on functional experience with Sapiens CoreSuite, particularly Claims and Digital modules
- Proven ability to elicit, document, and manage complex business and functional requirements
- Experience facilitating workshops and communicating effectively with business and technical stakeholders
- Strong understanding of claims lifecycle, insurance operations, and digital customer journeys
- Experience working in Agile and/or Waterfall delivery environments
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
Nice To Haves
- Exposure to testing activities, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT), test case review, and defect validation (preferred but not a primary focus)
Responsibilities
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional and business requirements
- Lead requirements workshops, process mapping sessions, and solution discussions with cross-functional teams
- Analyze current-state business processes and identify opportunities for optimization and system enhancements
- Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications and user stories for development teams
- Act as the functional Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Sapiens CoreSuite Claims and Digital capabilities
- Collaborate with developers, architects, and QA teams to ensure solutions align with business objectives
- Support configuration, implementation, and enhancement initiatives within the Sapiens CoreSuite platform
- Facilitate stakeholder reviews, solution walkthroughs, and user acceptance activities
- Assist with defect triage, issue resolution, and production support during implementation and post-go-live
- Contribute to test planning, test case review, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate business requirements.
