About The Position

The role involves working closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, and program leadership to elicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for a large-scale wealth management technology program. The Senior Business Analyst will serve as the bridge between business needs and technical delivery, ensuring that requirements are clearly defined, sprint-ready, and aligned with strategic objectives. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical thinking, the ability to navigate ambiguity in complex environments, and comfort engaging with senior stakeholders to validate priorities and drive clarity. Experience in financial services or a highly regulated industry is preferred.

Requirements

  • Minimum bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst on complex, multi-workstream technology programs.
  • Proven ability to work within agile delivery models — writing user stories, managing acceptance criteria, participating in sprint ceremonies, and grooming backlogs alongside product owners and delivery leads.
  • Strong requirements elicitation skills — workshops, interviews, process walkthroughs, data analysis, and documentation review.
  • Experience creating and maintaining artifacts such as BRDs, functional specifications, SIPOC diagrams, process flows, data mappings, and traceability matrices.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and communicate with senior business stakeholders, translating business intent into structured, actionable requirements.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Visio, Lucidchart, or Miro for requirements management and process documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • CBAP, CCBA, or agile certification (CSM, PMI-PBA) is a plus.
  • Experience in Wealth Management Technology and platforms such as Aladdin / Investment Solution Products is a plus but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Lead requirements elicitation across multiple workstreams — conduct stakeholder workshops, process walkthroughs, and data analysis sessions to capture current-state and future-state business needs.
  • Translate business requirements into well-defined user stories with clear acceptance criteria, ensuring they are sprint-ready and aligned with the program backlog.
  • Actively participate in agile ceremonies — sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews — to ensure delivery stays aligned with business intent.
  • Create and maintain key artifacts including business requirements documents, functional specifications, process flow diagrams, data dictionaries, SIPOC diagrams, and gap/impact analyses.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams — clarify requirements, resolve ambiguities, and manage scope discussions in real time.
  • Conduct impact analysis for change requests, assessing downstream effects on processes, systems, data, and dependent workstreams.
  • Support UAT planning and execution — define test scenarios rooted in business requirements, coordinate with business users, and track defect resolution to ensure acceptance criteria are met.
  • Work closely with the Program Manager to provide requirement-level status updates, flag risks and dependencies, and contribute to executive reporting with clear articulation of business impact.
  • Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities during discovery and translate them into actionable recommendations for the redesign phase.
  • Maintain traceability between business needs, requirements, design decisions, and test cases to ensure end-to-end alignment and audit readiness.

Benefits

  • Compensation is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.
