Senior BA - Workday Benefits Integration Support

Firstnet GlobalAtlanta, GA
Onsite

About The Position

This role involves analyzing and troubleshooting Workday-to-benefits-provider integrations and the data exchanged between systems. The Senior Business Analyst will trace employee lifecycle, benefits, and payroll-related transactions end-to-end, including hires, transfers, job changes, compensation changes, payroll events, terminations, and other transactions affecting benefit eligibility, enrollment, contributions, or reporting. The analyst will investigate reported discrepancies, determine the root cause (data issue, Workday configuration, benefit plan configuration, integration logic or mapping, timing or processing issue, provider-side processing, or expected system behavior), and review integration outputs, inbound and outbound files or messages, logs, reports, Workday transactions, and provider responses to identify the origin of an issue. Collaboration with benefits and retirement subject matter experts, Workday functional teams, developers, integration teams, benefit providers, vendors, and other stakeholders is crucial for validating findings and implementing corrective actions. Documentation of root-cause analysis, findings, business rules, and recommended resolutions will be required in a format understandable by both technical and business audiences. The role also involves distinguishing true defects from situations where systems operate as configured but the resulting behavior, business rule, or data relationship was not previously understood. Developing and maintaining end-to-end data flow diagrams showing how key employee, payroll, retirement, and benefits transactions move through Workday integrations to external benefits providers is also a key responsibility.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
