About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to act as a pioneer in our AI tooling space, maximizing the impact of large language models and generative technologies within Card analytics. You won’t just be using AI; you’ll be the architect of how our organization adopts it, establishing the frameworks for how we integrate tools like Gemini, Claude, and our AI Platform into the daily workflows of our analysts. As a trailblazer on this front, you will be responsible for setting the standard for AI usage and disseminating breakthrough learnings across the department.

This role blends product vision with hands-on execution. Beyond defining the roadmap for our next generation of credit tools, you will actively drive their development - gathering deep user context, leveraging Claude to engineer new workflows, and partnering with Business Analysts to ensure seamless enterprise adoption. Our team currently manages a sophisticated suite of tools that predict account performance and pinpoint risky populations, and your mission is to push these boundaries further. You will identify and operationalize untapped use cases that keep our analytical ecosystem streamlined, thorough, and ahead of the curve.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of professional experience performing analysis
• Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining one of the following with an expectation that the required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date: A Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer engineering, Software engineering, Mechanical engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field)
• Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining one of the following with an expectation that the required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date: A Master's Degree in a quantitative field (Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field) or an MBA with a quantitative concentration

Nice To Haves

• Master’s Degree in Business or quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences, Math, Statistics, Engineering
• 1+ years of experience in Statistical model building
• 1+ years of experience in market research
• 1+ years of experience in SQL querying
• 2+ years of experience in business analysis

Responsibilities

• Identify business challenges and opportunities for improvement and solve for them using analysis to make strategic or tactical recommendations
• Perform modeling/analytics to assist new product and pricing strategies for various lending products
• Support direct-to-consumer marketing efforts for select products, and strategic intent for products distributed through the retail channel. Help build targeted insights to inform the design and development of new customer experiences, as well as breakthrough technology and concepts designed to deliver on new go to market strategies
• Support step-change improvements in credit performance by connecting drivers of future consumer credit trends to historical behavior, creating risk models, and testing hypotheses using rigorous monitoring and analysis
• Involve problem frame-works, develop hypotheses, test and analysis, solution development, scope operational feasibility, lead implementation efforts and develop a monitoring plan
• Work closely with colleagues across Capital One including: IT, Sales, Operations, Finance and others to drive improvement in quality, volume, service, and profitability
