AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Building Technician to join their operations and maintenance team at the Calgary Courts Centre in Calgary, AB. This role is crucial for maintaining the mechanical/electrical and HVAC systems within the facility.

Requirements

  • A 5th Class Power Engineering Certificate from ABSA is required.
  • 5-10 years of experience.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems for office and warehouse facilities, including BAS systems.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word and Excel.
  • Must be willing and able to work after hours and weekends as required and to be available for standby rotation to respond to after-hours service requests.
  • Ability to make effective technical decisions in emergency situations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly motivated with a strong customer service focus.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.
  • Must be able to obtain a valid security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform the scheduled preventive maintenance and general maintenance on the mechanical/electrical systems, HVAC systems.
  • Perform general maintenance tasks and repairs as per tenant requests.
  • Provide excellent customer service to tenants.
  • Perform daily walk throughs of mechanical areas.
  • Assist coworkers with job tasks and repairs.
  • Comply with all Occupational Health and Safety legislation, guidelines, standards, policies, procedures and practices.
  • Coordinate with office staff and team members to schedule repairs and related tasks.
