About The Position

CORG Management Group is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Building Automation Systems (BAS) Technician to support facilities operations at Moncrief Army Health Clinic (MAHC) located on Fort Jackson, South Carolina. This position is responsible for providing advanced technical expertise in the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, programming, and optimization of building automation and control systems that support a mission-critical healthcare environment.

Requirements

  • At least three years of experience in a hospital or healthcare environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of pneumatic controls and their integration with Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems.
  • Comprehensive understanding of building automation systems, controls engineering principles, HVAC operations, energy management platforms, and Human Machine Interface (HMI) integration.
  • Proven experience supporting complex commercial HVAC systems, including water-cooled chillers, boilers, heat exchangers, pumps, steam systems, and associated BAS/DDC networks.
  • Ability to understand and comply with Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) requirements, NFPA standards, healthcare facility safety regulations, and patient-care operational protocols.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in TAC Americas or Siemens Building Technologies (SBT) control systems is preferred. Candidates who do not currently hold the required certification will be given a reasonable period after hire to obtain it.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Building Automation System (BAS) Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Moncrief Army Health Clinic and its outlying facilities, ensuring reliable operation of HVAC, steam, sterilization, boiler plant, and related utility systems.
  • Interpret mechanical and HVAC drawings, specifications, and sequences of operation; troubleshoot, test, maintain, and optimize BAS and critical infrastructure systems supporting clinical, administrative, and patient care environments.
  • Monitor and maintain Medical Gas (MEDGAS) systems, water-cooled chillers, boilers, heat exchangers, pumps, and associated controls, including Cleaver-Brooks boiler systems and Trane chiller systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve control system failures, equipment malfunctions, and performance issues to support uninterrupted operation of mission-critical healthcare facilities.
  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, integrate, program, and commission TAC Americas (Andover Controls) , Siemens Building Technologies (SBT) , and Schneider Electric StruxureWare control systems and facility-wide automation networks.
  • Analyze alarms, trends, and system performance data; maintain system documentation and implement corrective actions to improve reliability and efficiency.
  • Provide technical leadership, training, and mentorship to maintenance and controls personnel while recommending system upgrades, replacement components, and operational improvements.
  • Support facility renovation and construction projects by coordinating with government and third-party contractors and assisting with system integration, startup, testing, and commissioning activities.
