Parsons is now hiring for a Senior Bridge Engineer to join our Kansas City Transportation team. The ideal candidate will report remotely, based in the Kansas City area. This position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team. Requirements

  • 8 years or more of related work experience (DOT bridge engineering and design)
  • BS in Civil Engineering with structural emphasis is required
  • PE licensure required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office and Microstation or AutoCAD
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industry standard and specialty bridge design and analysis software

Nice To Haves

  • MS in Structural Engineering is desirable but not required

Responsibilities

  • Perform conventional and moderately complex bridge engineering tasks and particularly important engineering work efficiently and accurately.
  • May be assigned to a project or organizational team, or as a lead engineer for a specific discipline on a small to intermediate-size project.
  • Provides input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project.
  • Commitment to quality and continuous improvement through innovation, creative thinking and improved results.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative and productive relationships with all employees, clients and other stakeholders.
