As a Sr Brand Manager at Horizon Family Brands (HFB), you own brand strategies and lead execution of brand plans with cross-functional teams to deliver annual and long-range growth targets. The Sr BM Maple Hill is responsible for growing the base milk and yogurt businesses, launching and scaling innovation, anticipating and responding to business/brand dynamics, championing brand/commercial/supply/financial solutions, and leading teams towards flawless execution. As Sr Brand Manager you will manage four key business segments that generate >$100MM in annualized net sales contribution. Key responsibilities include: Supporting development of strategic plans and leading execution of initiatives that build brand equity, household penetration, segment growth, and profitability. Scope is likely to include brand, commercial, portfolio, network, supply, COGs, and innovation initiatives. Understanding consumer, category, channel, and retailer dynamics and applying the understanding in the execution of Maple Hill plans. Leading cross-functional teams in the execution of marketing/brand plans, including (but not limited to): consumer communications, social and digital approach to integrated marketing, shopper marketing, research, product development, merchandising strategies, COGs optimization, network optimization, supply optimization, and PPA. Understanding financial drivers and identifying opportunities to achieve profitability goals across multiple segments. Partnering with insights and analytic teams to strengthen consumer, category, and competitive intelligence. Synthesizing data into actionable insights that influence strategy and drive brand, product, and category change. Initiating consumer or category research projects and leading execution in partnership with analytical/strategic teams, which may include CLTs, CDTs, Ethnographies, Packaging Research, Turf Analysis, etc. Socializing consumer and category shifts internally and externally. Partnering with commercial team to achieve distribution and velocity targets, channel and customer prioritization, price/promo execution, and sales/customer communication. Participating in customer presentations or trade events. Leveraging sales and shipment data to inform demand planning (monthly, annually) and facilitating optimal use of network and supply capacity across assigned segments. Leading cross-functional projects through governance stages, utilizing stage gate templates and driving for on-time and within-budget execution. Projects include line extensions, innovation, packaging refreshes, and network changes. Managing segment investment and budgets – supporting annual planning processes, quarterly spending, PO initiation, and month-end closure efforts. Achieving annual operating plans and individual development plans.
