About The Position

Rexel USA is seeking a Senior Branch Driver for its Eagle, CO location. This role is responsible for delivering products to customers, company branches, and suppliers using a delivery van or box truck (no CDL required). The Senior Branch Driver ensures deliveries are prepared efficiently, materials are correct, and free of damage. This position also involves vehicle inspection and maintenance, adherence to driving laws, assisting with order preparation, managing delivery documentation, picking up material returns and from suppliers, and participating in the training and mentorship of entry-level drivers. The role may also include other branch duties such as counter sales, order fulfillment, and receiving/stocking materials.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must pass a pre-employment and annual review of the Motor Vehicle Record
  • Must obtain verification of non-expired medical certificate as required by law within 60 days of hire
  • Must not have had their driver's license suspended for traffic accidents/violations within the past 3 years
  • Must not have any at fault accidents in the past 3 years
  • Ability to handle loads with a combined weight not to exceed 26,000 GVW
  • Ability to handle complex issues and problems
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and familiarity with traffic and driver laws
  • Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to work overtime as needed

Responsibilities

  • Inspect company vehicle for visual and operating defects and complete a daily inspection report.
  • Keep company vehicle clean, serviced, and maintained, alerting supervisor of any needed repairs or service.
  • Follow Department of Transportation (DOT), local, and state driving laws and regulations.
  • Load or unload vehicle, ensuring all material for each order is correct (quantity and type) and free of damage before departure.
  • Assist in preparing orders for delivery.
  • Ensure all appropriate documentation is thoroughly completed at the time of delivery, including customer signature on delivery receipt, packing list, and branch/warehouse manifest.
  • Pick up material returns from customers, inspecting the condition of the material and verifying quantities and catalog numbers.
  • Pick up material from company suppliers.
  • Participate in the training of entry-level Truck Drivers and provide mentorship and coaching.
  • Perform other job functions within a branch when required, including counter sales, preparing and filling orders, and/or receiving, stocking, staging, and shipping material, and maintaining branch equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
