About The Position

911inform is seeking a Senior Bookkeeper for a full-time, on-site role in Wall Township, New Jersey. This position is responsible for the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close. The role involves working with QuickBooks, supporting a migration from QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise to QuickBooks Online, and maintaining separate books for an affiliated entity. The ideal candidate is an experienced full-charge bookkeeper who thrives on accuracy and ownership.

Requirements

  • QuickBooks proficiency (daily experience in Desktop Enterprise or Online required; experience in both is ideal).
  • 5+ years of bookkeeping experience, with full-charge or senior bookkeeping responsibilities including AP, AR, reconciliations, and general ledger.
  • Experience owning month-end close from start to finish and delivering financials on a deadline.
  • Real attention to detail and ability to catch own errors.
  • Ability to multitask effectively and manage multiple deadlines and requests.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and evolving processes.
  • Solid Excel skills for sorting, checking, and reconciling financial data.
  • Discretion in handling sensitive financial information.
  • Clear, direct communication skills for following up on information requests.
  • On-site availability in Wall Township, New Jersey.

Nice To Haves

  • Bookkeeping experience in a SaaS, subscription, or recurring revenue business.
  • Experience maintaining books across more than one legal entity, including intercompany transactions.
  • Experience migrating from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online.
  • Exposure to procurement, purchase orders, or value-added reseller billing.
  • Coursework, a degree, or a certification in accounting or bookkeeping, including QuickBooks ProAdvisor.

Responsibilities

  • Full-cycle accounts payable: entering, coding, and scheduling vendor bills, managing payment runs, and maintaining vendor records and W-9s.
  • Accounts receivable: applying payments, monitoring AR aging, and following up on past due accounts.
  • Reconciling bank, credit card, and merchant accounts monthly and investigating discrepancies.
  • Maintaining the general ledger and chart of accounts, posting journal entries, and recording payroll and accruals.
  • Managing month-end close on a set schedule and delivering accurate, reconciled financials.
  • Preparing profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting for leadership and outside finance advisors.
  • Maintaining strict separation between 911inform and its affiliated entity across all accounting records, including intercompany activity.
  • Supporting the migration from QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise onto QuickBooks Online, including data cleanup and balance validation.
  • Preparing 1099s, supporting sales and use tax filings, and assembling year-end workpapers for the CPA.
  • Documenting and filing backup to ensure nothing is lost and documenting procedures.
  • Flagging accounting errors and potential problems.

  • Base salary: $65,000 to $75,000 per year, depending on experience.
