We are currently seeking a Blast and Ballistics Structural Research Engineer. This position is a full-time opportunity located on-site at Tyndall Air Force Base, near Panama City, FL. This role supports Battelle's National Security Business Unit in delivering Research, Development, Test & Evaluation (RDT&E) efforts in Airfield Protection, Installation Resiliency, and Blast (APIRB) in support of the U.S. Air Force Civil Engineer Center. Near-term technical focus will center on protective structural effects for blast windows and doors. Active areas of research include but are not limited to: Protective Concepts and Systems Against Forced Entry; Blast and Ballistic Protection Systems Evaluation; Mitigation of Internal Blast Effects; Protective Systems for Infrastructure and Asset Survivability Against Cased Munitions; and Blast and Ballistic Protection for Guided Munitions.
