About The Position

TYLin is seeking a Senior Biosolids Engineer to join their Water Sector, focusing on biosolids treatment, handling, and dewatering. This role involves providing technical expertise for biosolids project delivery across the Water Sector and establishing leadership in the biosolids practice area. The engineer will contribute to shaping TYLin's biosolids capabilities and project portfolio.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering or other related field.
  • P.E. licensure with ability to obtain reciprocity in multiple states.
  • 10-15+ years of experience in the execution of wastewater infrastructure with a significant focus in biosolids treatment and handling projects.
  • Proven knowledge and experience with the approval process, including design guidelines and standards (Local and Provincial).
  • Client focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions.
  • Strong commitment to innovation by creating new and better ways to solve clients’ toughest challenges.
  • High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and participate directly in the design of public and private sector projects for biosolids treatment, dewatering, and handling, including engineering drawings, reports, presentations, and regulatory applications.
  • Coordinate design with various municipal/utility/approval agencies/stakeholders and obtain necessary approvals.
  • Liaise with clients, municipalities, and other agencies to secure approvals.
  • Coordinate with multi-disciplinary design teams within TYLin to deliver solutions.
  • Develop and manage project scope, budget, staffing, and schedule.
  • Prepare contract documents for construction, including engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Conduct quality assurance and quality control on projects.
  • Participate in the permitting process, which may involve meetings with clients, contractors, reviewing agency personnel, and governing entities.
  • Prepare engineering project proposals, change orders, and client communications.
  • Manage and lead team members, completing tasks and delegating project tasks.
  • Represent TYLin at local and national professional associations and conferences.
  • Develop technical standards and best practices for biosolids for the Water Sector.
