About The Position

The Senior Billing Analyst plays a key role in maintaining the company's revenue stream, making critical decisions that impact an organization's bottom line and financial transparency, as well, the month end process to ensure its accuracy; completeness; and adherence to deadlines. This person will be responsible for billing customers across multiple product platforms, reviewing the billing team’s work, and analyzing overall billing trends. This person will report to the VP of Billing and will work directly with the Accounting, Sales and Client Support teams in addition to the Billing team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or equivalent combination of education and billing experience (ideally 5-7 years)
  • Ideal candidates are team players, self-motivated, enthusiastic, able to establish good relationships with team members, and able to work quickly and concisely while under pressure
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to successfully deal with employee and customer questions to resolve issues
  • Excellent time management skills; ability to meet critical deadlines, high level of accuracy and accountability
  • Ability to work with complex issues and reconciliations
  • Takes ownership of assigned responsibilities, and actively seek out process efficiencies and improvements
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Strong Analytical skills

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the Billing process; making sure by client rules are followed and billing is completed accurately and adhering to team deadlines
  • Review monthly billing activity for other team members to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly and year-end close cycles
  • Assist in providing support for audit request workflows and responses, audit support as needed, ensure that files are compliant with all company policies and procedures
  • Contribute to the development of the business process documentation and standard operating procedures to strengthen financial reporting and internal controls
  • Proactively forge strong working relationships with assigned partners. Provide timely and candid communication on statuses, problems and timelines
  • Ensure compliance with firm deadlines and policies
  • Liaise with and support finance functions outside of billing
