About The Position

The Senior BI Analyst will be a key member of the Center for Data, providing senior data analyst, Workday reporting, and data visualization expertise for academic and student-related data and information needs. The role focuses on developing and supporting Workday and university-related reporting, data visualization, and analytics solutions to meet strategic and operational needs for the USNH institutions. Additionally, this position will lead client support efforts, data literacy initiatives, data governance, and provide project management and oversight for related projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience in information technology field, Master’s and four years, or combination of education and experience equal to ten years.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with Workday Reporting.
  • Understanding of and experience with data warehousing technologies and concepts, relational databases, business and systems analysis for business intelligence efforts, Workday HR/Finance and Workday Student, BusinessObjects, Power BI or other reporting technologies, and SQL.

  • Demonstrated experience in: data analytics in a higher education environment, developing effective data visualization and reporting solutions, and working with academic leaders and units.
  • Understanding of and experience with data warehousing technologies and concepts, relational databases, business and systems analysis for business intelligence efforts, Workday HR/Finance and Workday Student, BusinessObjects, Power BI or other reporting technologies, and SQL.
  • Experience with 3rd party BI tools such as Infoburst.
  • Familiarity with PL/SQL, and data modeling tools.
  • Experience with UNH and USNH information technology systems.
  • Ability to lead technical and non-technical projects.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical clients.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expertise and leadership to collaborate with academic clients and units to understand Workday and other reporting, data visualization, and information needs.
  • Develop Workday reporting solutions and analytics tools to meet needs with appropriate technology.
  • Lead projects to implement Workday reporting initiatives, including large, multi-department efforts.
  • Partner with Center for DATA business intelligence developers to identify and create new Workday reporting areas or implement changes to existing data environments.
  • Lead Center for DATA client support efforts and initiatives, establishing effective services and processes for Workday reporting and analytics.
  • Provide support to Center for DATA clients, including end-user support, ad-hoc Workday report development, and formal/informal training sessions and workshops on Workday reporting.
  • Lead and participate in USNH-wide and institutional planning efforts to improve and mature access to and use of Workday reporting and academic data.
  • Take part in and lead efforts to improve the effectiveness of Workday and other reporting solutions to meet needs.
  • Participate in USNH-wide governance groups and committees with a focus on reporting strategy and optimization.
  • Other duties as assigned.
