About The Position

The role of the Senior Benefits Analyst is to manage and administer all health, welfare, and retirement benefit programs, assist with the implementation of new processes and programs, as well as ensure compliance. This position will have direct interaction with HR teams to ensure all aspects of benefits during the employment lifecycle are efficient. This includes but is not limited to working with external vendors, assisting HR teams with benefit related questions and working with all US locations in resolving administrative issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelors level degree, Human Resources or related field.
  • 5+ years' experience in HR and /or benefits administration is required.
  • Proficient knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws.
  • Must possess a strong comfort level working with HR-related technology and systems.
  • Must have experience building relationships with vendors, advisors, and internal stakeholders to ensure affective collaboration, support, and service.
  • Requires demonstrated excellence in interpreting and explaining benefits plans and policy features to a broad audience with variable familiarity with benefits.
  • Experience with vendor management.
  • High proficiency in MS Excel preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for audit and administration of H&W Plans, Wellness , Retirement Programs for all U.S.-based active locations.
  • This position works closely with external vendors, internal payroll, HRIS, and business unit contacts.
  • Has accountability to administer programs in compliance with provisions of Federal, State, and Local laws.
  • Manager the day-to-day administration and provide guidance to all U.S. locations and the recordkeeper for the US Health Care and Retirement Plans
  • Interpretation of plan and policies for administrative decisions, directing the company's vendors, and providing customer support and problem resolution to Human Resources contacts.
  • Interact with payroll, TPA, and providers on all matters related to plan administration.
  • Prepare Form 5500 and audited financial reports required by law to be filed with federal and state agencies. Including distribution of Legal Notices and SAR.
  • Facilitate further development of the benefits website by identifying opportunities to leverage technology to increase automation and streamline processes.
  • Process allocation of expenses and vendor invoices.
  • Identify, research, initiate, and implement opportunities for process improvement and create process flows to optimize streamlining efficiency.
  • Manage benefit issues and appeal process for benefits issues in a timely and efficient manner to ensure fairness and compliance.
  • Prepare communication materials as needed, including periodic benefits updates and benefit presentations for HR and supervisors.
  • Coordinate wellness activities with the vendors.
  • Perform various benefits audit and data quality checks as needed.
  • Ability to adhere to tight deadlines, multi-tasking and continual shifting of top priorities.
