Senior Behavioral Health Therapist: Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program
About The Position
Sentara RMH Behavioral Health Center is hiring a Senior Behavioral Health Therapist for a newly established Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program. The role is accountable for leadership and daily operations, including coordinating work, quality, and service for licensed and non-licensed behavioral health therapists and care transition staff in the SRMH inpatient psychiatric unit/department. The therapist oversees the quality and review of clinical records, helps manage therapy staff, develops therapy programming, and provides clinical and discharge-planning services as needed across inpatient and outpatient settings.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or another related field.
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensure.
- At least 3 years of outpatient or inpatient experience.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and audit assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge plans according to a structured plan that logs records reviewed, deficiencies identified, and corrective actions.
- Assist the clinical manager at assigned sites with scheduling, annual evaluations, competency development, recruitment, and orientation of therapy staff.
- Develop and ensure high-quality therapy programming for inpatient and outpatient sites.
- Participate in assigned team activities and provide social services, discharge planning, and therapy services as needed.
