Aspire Living & Learning is currently seeking a Senior Behavior Therapist to work out of one of our Approved Private Special Education Programs (ALL Academy) in Naugatuck, CT, providing services to children who have been outplaced to our program due to social, behavioral, and/or academic needs.

Requirements

  • At least 3 months exemplary performance as a Behavior Therapist with Aspire or at least 12 months exemplary performance as a behavior therapist with another ABA provider.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • 1 year experience with individuals with Autism, intellectual disabilities, or other social/behavioral needs
  • 1 year experience in implementing and collecting data related to areas such as School-Wide PBS, Tier Plans, Direct Instruction, Precision Teaching, or other behavior analytic measures
  • Must have satisfactory background checks
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field (e.g., Psychology, Special Education) strongly preferred
  • Computer skills desired but not required

Responsibilities

  • Implement each student’s educational and behavioral programs under the guidance of Special Education Teachers and Board-Certified Behavior Analysts.
  • Collaborate with service providers, including School Psychologists, Speech and Language Pathologists and Occupational/Physical Therapists.
  • Monitor/work with students during indoor/outdoor physical activities (playground/gym).
  • Support students during academic, related service (Speech, OT, PT), and behavioral programming.
  • Assist in toileting if applicable.
  • Perform Physical Management Techniques (PMT) as needed.
