About The Position

This position is responsible for reviewing processes and procedures across all areas of banking to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure operational effectiveness. By assessing existing practices and identifying gaps, this role will recommend and assist in developing policies and procedures that align with the bank's risk framework. The individual will collaborate with retail banking, commercial banking, deposit operations, risk, audit, learning and development, customer care, and other business lines to enhance operational efficiency. Findings and recommendations will be presented to the SVP of Bank Operations and business line leaders, who will determine the best course of action. This position will play a key role in supporting the implementation of those decisions, working closely with stakeholders to ensure smooth execution. Additionally, this role supports the development and implementation of new banking center procedures, training content, and special projects as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of banking center operations, policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports.
  • Ability to effectively present information.

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, or related field.
  • 5 years' experience in retail banking operations.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes and makes recommendations regarding the creation of policy and procedural documents related to the bank's daily operations.
  • Identifies gaps in current procedures of bank operations, creates the policy/procedure to solve for the gap, and ensures adherence as necessary.
  • Develops, tests, and implements new or enhanced processes and other process improvement initiatives as well as being the centralized staff for assisting banking centers with questions or issues.
  • Provides continuity of service to all banking clients and business partners as well as servicing centralized banking accounts such as corporate accounts, employee accounts, and online account opening accounts.
  • Assists in centralizing processes for the bank which could migrate toward the mortgage side of the institution.
  • Identifies improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and effectiveness of team.
  • Performs the activities of the Bank Charter operations in support of policies, goals, culture, core values, and objectives established by executive management.
  • Identifies current or potential problem areas or the need for organizational changes; develops and implements recommendations.
  • Provides observations to staff to ensure that the operation functions smoothly and efficiently and that all clients receive prompt, courteous service; provide assistance as needed.
  • Exercises awareness with regard to possible suspicious activity, money laundering or fraudulent behavior and reports any such incidents to the BSA department.
  • Performs all job functions in compliance with all company policies and federal, state, and local laws and regulations as applicable to the position, including, but not limited to BSA/AML, OFAC and GLBA/privacy rules.
