DC Engineer
About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Backup & Recovery Engineer to support a large-scale, mission-critical enterprise data protection environment. The engineer will be responsible for day-to-day backup operations, troubleshooting, incident resolution, platform maintenance, disaster recovery readiness, and continuous improvement of the backup infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Dell Technologies data protection products, particularly Dell Avamar, PowerProtect Data Manager (PPDM), PowerProtect Data Domain along with solid knowledge of enterprise infrastructure, networking, storage, databases, and virtualization. The role requires someone who can independently troubleshoot complex backup failures, work with infrastructure and application teams, manage incidents through resolution, and participate in backup platform upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives.
Requirements
- Experienced Backup & Recovery Engineer
- Strong hands-on experience with Dell Technologies data protection products, particularly Dell Avamar, PowerProtect Data Manager (PPDM), PowerProtect Data Domain
- Solid knowledge of enterprise infrastructure, networking, storage, databases, and virtualization
- Ability to independently troubleshoot complex backup failures
- Ability to work with infrastructure and application teams
- Ability to manage incidents through resolution
- Experience participating in backup platform upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives
Responsibilities
- Administer, monitor, and support enterprise backup and recovery infrastructure.
- Perform daily operational monitoring of backup operations.
