About The Position

At Capgemini Engineering, we are looking for senior backend engineers for a critical project that comprises a series of new developments and enhancements for a valuable client in the hospitality sector. Engineers will be working with a cutting-edge tech stack, collaborating closely with the Machine Learning/Intelligence team.

Requirements

• 6+ years of extensive experience in Java backend language.
• Able to work on ambiguous tasks independently.
• Strong understanding of microservices, Spring Boot, Kubernetes and APIs and end-to-end development from developing to testing.
• Exposure to architectural patterns of a large, high-scale system/product, like APIs, high volume data pipelines, distributed systems, and efficient algorithms.
• Willingness to work across the backend stack to address technical challenges anywhere in the system.
• Hands on experience with any modern database.

Nice To Haves

• Hands-on working with GenAI tools, Claude Code.
• Exposure to Python, NodeJS is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Independent contributor with minimum guidance needed to navigate through the software development process.
• Working closely with client stakeholders on day-to-day assignments.
• Helping and supporting junior and new team members.
• Obtains tasks from the project lead prepares functional and design specifications, approves them with all stakeholders.
• Troubleshooting and optimizing microservices.
