About The Position

At Ubiety Technologies, Inc we are redefining physical security. We develop innovative device detection and RF signaling products that protect homes, businesses, and communities. As part of our fast-paced, highly collaborative startup team, you'll work alongside world-class engineers and creative designers to invent and deliver transformative products from inception to production. Our backend team owns the mission-critical infrastructure of a rapidly growing ecosystem. We are seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to architect, implement, and optimize the core cloud infrastructure powering our Presence Intelligence technology. This is not a standard web-app role. You will be the technical linchpin connecting our distributed systems, hardware IoT devices, and cloud-native AI environment. We are looking for an engineer who thrives on building robust API integrations, scalable data ingestion pipelines, and high-throughput, secure capture workflows. Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in backend engineering, systems architecture, or a relevant software role.
• Strong development skills in Go and Python (with JavaScript/TypeScript expertise highly desirable).
• Extensive experience building and scaling microservices on AWS or GCP, utilizing containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven track record with high-throughput streaming platforms (Kafka, Kinesis, MQTT), both SQL/NoSQL databases, and handling edge-to-cloud connectivity (device provisioning, telemetry ingestion).
• Demonstrated ability to lead system architecture decisions and a commitment to raising the team's engineering bar.

Nice To Haves

• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage robust ingestion pipelines capable of processing high-velocity telemetry and event data from edge devices into our cloud-native AI environment.
• Implement scalable API integrations and efficient capture workflows ensuring data integrity, low latency, and secure service-to-service communication.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to audit and improve existing infrastructure, ruthlessly focusing on performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
• Build and maintain proactive monitoring systems to track API health, ingestion throughput, and workflow latency.
• Champion engineering standards through active participation in code reviews, technical documentation, and mentorship of junior engineers.
