About The Position

We are looking for a highly skilled and technically proficient Senior Backend Engineer to join our Customer Focus Group (CFG). This is a unique, high-impact role that sits at the intersection of engineering, product, architecture, and customer engagement. As part of the CFG, you will work closely with the company platform. We are looking for a candidate who combines strong backend development expertise with a broad product mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to bridge technical and commercial priorities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of backend development experience, preferably working on customer-facing or customer-centric products.
  • Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript, or comparable backend technologies.
  • Deep understanding of backend architecture, including microservices, API design, distributed systems, and design patterns.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, including services such as serverless computing, managed databases, storage, queues, and observability tools.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience building and scaling systems that process high volumes of data.
  • Proven ability to solve complex technical problems and deliver performant, scalable, production-grade solutions.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across globally distributed teams.
  • Experience working in agile development environments.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern software delivery practices.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in cybersecurity, application security, DevSecOps, or software supply chain security.
  • Experience working closely with enterprise customers.
  • Background in technical consulting, solutions engineering, customer engineering, or field engineering.
  • Experience with observability, monitoring, incident investigation, and production troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD ecosystems, source control platforms, container security, SAST, SCA, DAST, or cloud security tools.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with customers to understand technical needs, challenges, and product gaps.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, sales, customer success, and management teams to ensure customer feedback is reflected in product development.
  • Design, develop, and deliver backend features, integrations, and technical solutions that address customer needs.
  • Investigate and resolve complex technical issues across architecture, infrastructure, performance, and scalability.
  • Gain a deep, holistic understanding of the company platform and help connect customer use cases to product capabilities.
  • Contribute to backend architecture decisions, API design, system design, and technical best practices.
  • Support customer-facing technical discussions by providing deep product and engineering expertise.
  • Help improve product reliability, performance, scalability, and overall customer satisfaction.
  • Operate in a fast-paced environment where technical ownership, collaboration, and customer impact are key.
