About The Position

At InterNations, you build for our members, for the hosts who bring them together at events, and for your own colleagues internally. We want you close to whoever you are building for: asking why a feature matters, challenging requirements, and shaping the solution. Our engineering team architects, develops, and tests our products. As a Full-Stack Engineer, your mission is to build features end to end, from the browser to the database, on a platform that serves millions of views every month. As a member of an international, cross-functional Product Experience Team (PXT), you work closely with your Product Manager to architect, implement, and ship concepts and upcoming changes. You will write automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests. You will take part in cross-team initiatives: architectural changes, refactoring, and best practices.

Requirements

Relevant experience across the stack: a backend language like PHP, Python, or Ruby and modern JavaScript or TypeScript, as we are working with PHP and TypeScript
Experience with a modern web framework like Symfony, Laravel, Next.js, or React
Hands-on experience using AI tools in your everyday engineering work
Experience with automated testing on the unit, functional, and/or acceptance level
An interest in big datasets in relational databases, search indexes, or key-value stores
Excellent English, written and spoken, as it is our company language
Strong communication skills and a self-motivator, used to working with multiple teams across disciplines in a fully remote setting
Right to work in Spain
