Senior Backend Developer / Tech Lead (Russian and English speaker)
About The Position
We're looking for a Senior Full-Stack Developer with a strong backend focus to lead one of the most impactful transitions in our company's history: consolidating 15 Shopify stores into a unified, scalable, app-first architecture. This isn't a maintenance role. You'll shape technical direction, work directly with product and business, and have real ownership from day one. We are an AI-first company, leveraging tools like GitHub Copilot and Claude daily to accelerate development and problem-solving. We move fast, ship continuously, and trust our engineers to make decisions. The company is targeting 40-50% business growth this year, transitioning from acquisition-only to retention-driven growth, and moving from website-first to app-first within 6 months. This is a full-time permanent role, based remotely, offering direct influence on product features and user experience, ownership, autonomy, and professional growth within a fast-growing international company.
Requirements
- 5+ years of full-stack development experience
- Strong backend expertise (~70% backend / 30% frontend split)
- Proven ability to thrive in startup or high-growth environments
- Solid understanding of scalable architectures and API design
- Hands-on experience with AI-powered development tools
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and fast-changing priorities
- Strong communicator across technical and non-technical teams
- Collaborative, low-ego, high-impact
Nice To Haves
- eCommerce or Shopify experience is a strong plus

Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable backend systems on AWS
- Centralize user authentication and order management across multiple Shopify stores
- Integrate legacy systems into a unified app-based architecture
- Contribute to the Breeze mobile app ecosystem
- Lead key initiatives including: Multi-store order management consolidation, AI chatbot integration (SuperChat), Dynamic bundle builder for multi-destination travel
- Leverage AI tools daily to accelerate development and problem-solving
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, marketing, and partner teams
