About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AWS Cloud Engineer to provide expert cloud engineering support. The successful candidate will be responsible for building, integrating, and deploying multi-cloud environments that support data science and emerging technology prototypes. This role involves key activities such as cloud infrastructure automation, hardening, operations, and maintenance. Requirements

  • Proven experience in cloud engineering, particularly with AWS, and a strong understanding of multi-cloud environments.
  • Expertise in cloud infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipeline management, and security integration.
  • Experience with identity management and compliance maintenance, including server and database patching.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages for automation purposes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design and govern AWS infrastructure supporting the application portfolio, including VPC design, subnet segmentation, routing, NAT gateways, and security groups.
  • Develop and implement IAM policy designs aligned with least-privilege principles.
  • Provide solutions architecture for new applications, including deployment strategy, service selection, and integration patterns.
  • Engage in infrastructure-as-code development and maintenance using tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, and AWS CDK.
  • Manage various environments, including development, staging, and production, ensuring seamless integration with enterprise security controls like Palo Alto firewalls.
  • Develop architectural documentation to support Authority to Operate (ATO) requirements.
  • Implement cloud cost governance and optimization strategies to ensure efficient resource usage.
  • Build, integrate, and deploy multi-cloud environments to support data science and emerging technology prototypes.
  • Automate cloud infrastructure processes, ensuring robust hardening, operations, and maintenance.
  • Establish and manage continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, with a strong emphasis on integrating security into all pipeline stages.
  • Implement identity management solutions to ensure secure access and operations.
  • Deploy capabilities via CI/CD pipelines, ensuring efficient and secure delivery of services.
  • Maintain server and database compliance, including regular patching and updates.
  • Automate tasks using scripting languages to enhance efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
  • Support activities to obtain and maintain Authority to Operate (ATO) for prototypes, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
