About The Position
Perficient is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud & Agentic AI Platform Architect to lead the design, implementation, and governance of enterprise-scale AI and agentic platforms in a highly regulated healthcare environment. The role establishes foundational AWS architecture patterns, enables secure and scalable AI adoption, and partners with engineering teams to design and build production-ready agentic solutions. This is a highly technical, consultative position requiring hands-on experience delivering Amazon Bedrock, Bedrock AgentCore, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) solutions in production. The architect provides engineering leadership, coaches teams, and contributes directly to implementation efforts. Requirements
- Proven experience designing and delivering production-scale agentic AI and generative AI solutions on AWS, including Amazon Bedrock, Bedrock AgentCore, MCP architectures, and enterprise AI platforms.
- Deep expertise in AWS cloud architecture, including Control Tower, multi-account strategies, organizational governance, IAM, networking, Direct Connect, Secrets Manager, Infrastructure as Code, and modern CI/CD practices.
- Hands-on experience building secure, scalable AI solutions that integrate cloud and on-premises systems, including MCP servers, agent frameworks, RAG architectures, knowledge bases, and document intelligence solutions.
- Strong understanding of security, identity, and compliance requirements for regulated environments, including Entra ID, AWS Identity Center, Active Directory federation, role-based access controls, PHI/PII protection, auditing, and AI guardrails.
- Ability to lead technical design discussions, evaluate architectural tradeoffs, mentor engineering teams, and communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise-scale agentic AI and generative AI solutions on AWS using services such as Amazon Bedrock, Bedrock AgentCore, and MCP.
- Establish scalable cloud and AI platform foundations, including AWS Control Tower governance, multi-account strategies, security guardrails, networking, resilience, and reusable AI architecture patterns.
- Partner with business and technology teams to evaluate AI use cases, define solution architectures, and determine appropriate applications of agentic workflows, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), knowledge bases, and intelligent automation.
- Design and implement secure MCP server architectures, hybrid cloud integrations, and connectivity patterns that enable AI agents to access enterprise data and services across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Develop document intelligence, knowledge management, and enterprise data retrieval solutions using services such as Amazon Textract and Bedrock Knowledge Bases.
- Ensure AI platforms and applications meet security, governance, and compliance requirements through identity federation, role-based access controls, data protection, auditing, observability, and operational safeguards.
- Provide technical leadership through architecture reviews, solution validation, engineering mentorship, and guidance on AI platform best practices and emerging technologies.
- Create reusable reference architectures, standards, implementation patterns, and operational runbooks to support long-term organizational adoption and scalability.
