About The Position

RedSky is seeking an experienced Senior Aviation Military Analyst to join our growing team supporting Army aviation modernization at Fort Novosel, Alabama. The Senior Aviation Military Analyst will provide critical support to the Army Capability Manager-Unmanned Aerial Systems (ACM-UAS) in developing, integrating, and synchronizing efforts that advance Army Aviation’s modernization objectives, with a focus on requirements development for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and related aviation capabilities.

Requirements

  • Rated Army Aviator, UAS Operator, or Manager
  • Minimum fifteen (15) years of Army Aviation flight and/or combat operations experience
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in UAS capability development or operational UAS experience in tactical aviation
  • Demonstrated experience as a team lead in aviation studies, operational testing, or capability evaluation
  • Completion of relevant DAU or equivalent courses, including: JCIDS RQM 1010 Requirements Management RQM 1101 Capabilities Based Assessment RQM 2500 Developing Performance Attributes RQM 2520 Market Research CON 0040 Analysis of Alternatives RQM 1510
  • Active Secret security clearance (TS/SCI eligibility required)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and document aviation capabilities and requirements in support of Army aviation modernization efforts
  • Conduct operational and capability gap analyses to identify and address needs within Army aviation
  • Prepare and assist with the submission of Joint Capabilities Integration Development System (JCIDS) documentation and urgent needs statements
  • Support integration and synchronization of DOTMLPF-P (Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership, Personnel, Facilities, and Policy) initiatives with Army and joint stakeholders
  • Conduct and document resource prioritization studies for Army aviation planning and acquisition
  • Provide technical input on testing, evaluation, deployment, and fielding of aviation systems, including Training Aids, Devices, Simulators, and Simulations (TADSS)
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for life cycle acquisition, system fielding, and capability evaluations
  • Ensure that Army aviation solutions remain modern, resilient, and aligned with operational objectives
