About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Aviation Electrical Manager to join our Aviation Practice, reporting to the Practice Lead, to support the delivery of projects in Orlando, FL. This role provides technical direction throughout the company within Airfield Electrical, Lighting and NAVAIDs design. The manager will engage with the team toward the production of design projects, establish technical criteria on projects, and provide technical input/direction to project managers and team members. They will participate in technical quality assurance reviews and assist management in conducting technical project review audits. The role involves establishing and disseminating, reviewing and updating firmwide professional standards, guidelines and procedures, investigation and design procedures, and technical quality assurance review guidelines for application to project production. Additionally, the manager will coordinate with operational managers to identify staffing needs, deficiencies and opportunities for recruitment, and assist in the identification, screening, recruitment and orientation of qualified candidates to fill key vacancies. The individual receives general administrative direction, executes independent decisions, and resolves important questions concerning their area of expertise, being recognized as a technical authority in their field of expertise, on a regional or national basis, both within and outside the company. They will supervise the technical work of senior professionals and interface with senior technical managers and all levels of management throughout the firm. The role also requires interfacing with existing and potential clients, representing/defending the company's technical work to clients, regulatory agencies, and others. Participation in technical and professional organizations at a prominent leadership level is also expected.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Professional Engineering Licensure is required, including ability to obtain in multiple states.
  • Twenty (20) years' experience working in Airfield Electrical, Lighting and NAVAIDs designs at airports.
  • Strong knowledge of FAA and ICAO criteria.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication, verbal and written skills.
  • Valid State Drivers License.
