Position Overview Vantage is seeking a Senior Industrial I oT, Global to lead global industrial automation initiatives and accelerate our adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies. In this role, you will combine technical expertise with strategic oversight to develop, standardize, and implement scalable solutions across our global data center portfolio. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design secure, reliable , and efficient systems that democratize data and enable digital transformation. You will also be responsible for establishing and maintaining global standards, promoting best practices, and driving continuous improvemen t .

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of I ndustry 4.0 technologies and concepts such as MQTT , OP C-UA, real-time telemetry , u nified n amespace s , IIoT devices , virtualization, Inductive Automation Ignition, etc.
  • Knowledge of industry standards , including ISA-95, the Purdue model, and ISA/IEC 62443 .
  • Experience authoring automation design standards , specifications, and requirements .
  • Knowledge of operational technology (OT) network topologies and protocols, such as device level ring (DLR) and resilient ethernet protocol (REP).
  • Experience with big data telemetry, analytics, and infrastructure monitoring.
  • Experience with IIoT database s ( ex. SQL, NoSQL , time-series ) and scripting languages ( ex. Python, JavaScript)
  • Experience selecting, managing, and collaborating with external vendors, contractors, and consultants.
  • 5+ years of i ndustrial a utomation experience within mission critical environments .
  • Bachelor of S cience degree in e ngineering, c omputer s cience , or equivalent is desirable but not .
  • Travel is expected to be 15 % but may increase over time as the business evolves .

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, engineering, IT, c ybersecurity, operations, and sustainability to develop , implement, and optimize industrial automation designs and standards across Vantage’s global data center product line.
  • Build relationships with regional peers and internal customers to understand their needs, discover opportunities, develop solutions, solicit feedback, capture lessons learned , and facilitate the transfer of knowledge globally.
  • Provide industrial IoT expertise and guidance across all regions and organizational levels.
  • Develop and maintain automation standards such as telemetry requirements, IIoT device specifications, MQTT broker specifications, pub/sub architectures, UNS specifications , etc.
  • Creat e secure, robust, scalable , and cost-effective telemetry solutions that meet internal and external customer requirements .
  • Lead the development of systems that optimize data integrity, availability, and throughput to enable advanced technologies such as machine learning, AI operators , and digital twins .
  • Contribute to QA/QC standardization to enhance quality product turnover .
  • Partner with regional teams to take new technologies and designs from concept to first-of-kind deployment.
  • Craft business cases for research and development opportunities including cost, schedule, performance, and testing requirements.
  • Provide l ead ership and train ing to team members, contractors, and consultants.
