This role involves supporting the implementation, startup, commissioning, and long-term maintenance of automated sheet metal fabrication equipment. The technician will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automation-related issues, diagnose and repair PLC-controlled systems and automation components, and maintain servo motors, drives, sensors, safety systems, and electrical control components. The position requires close collaboration with equipment manufacturers and integrators during installation and startup, performing preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize uptime and reliability, and responding quickly to equipment failures. Responsibilities also include reading and interpreting technical documentation, developing maintenance procedures and documentation, maintaining accurate maintenance records using CMMS systems, and supporting continuous improvement efforts focused on automation reliability, efficiency, and safety.
