About The Position

Sikich is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented experienced auditing professional with strong leadership and accounting skills. This role is contingent upon award of contract. This position requires an active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain this level of clearance. The Senior Audit Manager will provide first-line supervision to a team of auditing professionals, reviewing their work products to ensure quality and consistency with auditing standards and firm guidelines. The role involves leveraging an understanding of Government Auditing Standards to design and oversee the execution of audit plans and procedures, including sampling and testing, and evaluating the results to determine their impact on the audit plan and overall conclusions. The position also requires effective team development through delegation and guidance, utilizing technology such as data analysis tools and AI to enhance audit efficiency and effectiveness, and managing multiple projects simultaneously. Experience with the business development process is also expected. The Senior Audit Manager will prepare and review acceptable workpapers, write-ups, memos, and reports, owning assigned work areas and ensuring client-ready completion. Communication with clients and management, including conducting walkthroughs and interviews, is crucial. The role involves creating, submitting, and tracking Prepared by Client (PBC) items, following engagement protocols, holding preliminary discussions of apparent deficiencies, reporting audit findings and recommendations to management, performing quality control checks, creating meeting agendas, and maintaining excellent client relations. Adherence to attendance, punctuality, and deadlines, as well as company policies, is required. Active participation in formal and informal training to continuously grow technical and non-technical competencies is also a key aspect of the role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Accounting degree required.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Financial statement audit experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first line supervision to a team of auditing professionals.
