About The Position

Our law firm client in Orange, California seeks a Senior Associate Attorney with 5+ years of CA family law experience. Join a firm that has tripled revenue and continues to grow aggressively. This position offers immediate responsibility, substantial autonomy, performance bonuses, full legal support staff, cutting-edge technology, hybrid work, and a genuine path to partnership or ownership. We're looking for an experienced California family law attorney who wants to help build a premier Orange County law firm—not just maintain someone else's practice. You'll be supported by experienced staff and a steady flow of new matters, allowing you to focus on practicing law rather than building a book of business.

Requirements

  • 5+ Years of California Family Law Attorney Experience: At least five years of California family law litigation experience, including courtroom appearances and trial.
  • Exceptional Communication: Strong written and oral communication skills are crucial to advocate effectively for our clients and collaborate with our team.
  • Growth Mindset: We're seeking individuals who aren't just looking for steady work but are eager to contribute to the law firm's growth and development.
  • Bar Admission: Active member of the State Bar of California, in good standing.
  • Ethical Conduct: Adherence to the highest ethical standards in the practice of law.

Responsibilities

  • Manage your own family law caseload from initial consultation through settlement or trial.
  • Serve as lead counsel on new matters, develop case strategy, and guide clients through every stage of the family law litigation process.
  • Represent clients at hearings, settlement conferences, depositions, mediations, and trials in Orange County and surrounding Southern California courts.
  • Provide practical, strategic legal advice on divorce, child custody, child and spousal support, property division, domestic violence, and post-judgment matters.
  • Help clients make informed decisions during some of the most important moments of their lives.
  • Negotiate favorable settlements whenever possible while preparing every case as though it may proceed to trial.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, declarations, discovery, and settlement agreements with precision and attention to detail.
  • Contribute ideas that improve the firm's systems, workflows, and client experience.
  • Work closely with the firm's owner and legal support staff in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Share knowledge, mentor junior team members when appropriate, and help foster a culture of professionalism and continuous improvement.
  • Build strong client relationships through responsive communication, sound legal judgment, and compassionate representation.

Benefits

  • Hybrid work environment with flexibility to work from home and from our offices in Orange or Irvine.
  • Opportunity to help shape the future of one of Orange County’s fastest-growing family law firms.
  • Genuine opportunity for partnership—and potential acquisition of the practice—after three years of service.
  • Twenty (20) PTO days in addition to paid holidays.
  • Full health benefits, including medical, dental, vision.
  • 401(k) match up to 3% after 90 days.
  • Competitive Compensation: $150,000–$200,000 annually, including a generous quarterly performance bonus.
