About The Position

The Florida Department of Financial Services is hiring a Senior Attorney to manage Final Orders for the Department. The ideal Final Orders attorney has exceptional research and writing skills and the ability to work independently on a variety of legal issues. This position is within the Litigation and Special Projects section which represents the CFO and the Department in civil, appellate, and administrative litigation and provides legal counsel to the Divisions of Risk Management and Consumer Services, Florida’s Insurance Consumer Advocate, the Office of the Inspector General, and the Office of Human Resources.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) Degree.
• Admittance to the Florida Bar.
• Two (2) years of legal experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and either Westlaw or Lexis/Nexis legal research tools.

• Litigation experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage Final Orders for the Department.
