About The Position

This full-time position in New York, New York, offers competitive pay and benefits. The role involves managing all phases of general liability litigation from case inception through resolution. The attorney will develop litigation strategies, provide legal analysis and risk assessment, and draft various legal documents. Responsibilities include conducting depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trials, as well as communicating directly with clients, insurance carriers, opposing counsel, and experts. The role also includes supervising and mentoring junior attorneys, associates, and support staff, and collaborating with firm leadership to expand and strengthen the California practice.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active admission to the California Bar.
• Significant experience handling general liability litigation matters.
• Strong legal writing, research, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to independently manage complex litigation matters and client relationships.
• Experience generating and maintaining client relationships.

Nice To Haves

• Experience supervising associates or litigation teams preferred.
• Existing portable book of business preferred.
• Ability to bring an associate or established team.
• Prior leadership or partnership experience within a law firm environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with firm leadership to expand and strengthen the California practice.
