About The Position

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Assurance Manager / Partner to provide strategic leadership across a diverse portfolio of audit, review, and compilation engagements. This executive-level role is responsible for driving client success, leading engagement teams, developing business opportunities, and ensuring the highest standards of technical excellence and professional integrity. The ideal candidate is a trusted advisor with extensive public accounting experience, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven ability to build lasting client relationships while mentoring future leaders. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • Eight or more years of progressive public accounting experience with increasing leadership responsibility.
  • Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or other applicable professional certification.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex audit, review, and compilation engagements.
  • Extensive knowledge of auditing standards, accounting principles, financial reporting, internal controls, and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Proven experience building client relationships, developing business, and leading high-performing teams.
  • Strong strategic thinking, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Commitment to maintaining required professional certifications and continuing education.

  • Recognized expertise within a specialized industry or technical accounting discipline.
  • Experience leading business development initiatives and driving practice growth.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 and audit engagement software such as TeamMate, Suralink, Pfx Engagement, or comparable platforms.
  • Experience mentoring future leaders and supporting succession planning initiatives.
  • Previous experience in a Partner, Principal, Shareholder, or Senior Leadership role is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple audit, review, and compilation engagements from planning through completion while ensuring compliance with professional standards and quality expectations.
  • Develop comprehensive engagement strategies, including staffing, scheduling, budgeting, risk assessments, internal control evaluations, and audit approaches.
  • Review engagement workpapers, financial statements, and deliverables to ensure accuracy, technical quality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Sign audit, review, and compilation reports in accordance with applicable professional standards and internal quality control policies.
  • Oversee engagement budgets, monitor project performance, and proactively manage scope, timelines, staffing, and client expectations.
  • Resolve complex accounting, auditing, and engagement-related issues using sound technical judgment.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert within one or more industries or technical accounting disciplines.
  • Maintain advanced knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS), Statements on Standards for Accounting and Review Services (SSARS), U.S. GAAP, and other applicable financial reporting frameworks.
  • Research emerging accounting standards, regulatory changes, and industry developments while providing technical guidance to engagement teams.
  • Lead the evaluation and resolution of complex technical accounting and auditing matters.
  • Develop and maintain trusted relationships with executives, business owners, boards, and other key stakeholders.
  • Gain a deep understanding of clients' businesses to proactively identify risks, opportunities, and value-added solutions.
  • Identify, cultivate, and pursue new business opportunities while expanding existing client relationships.
  • Collaborate with leadership on growth strategies, proposal development, and client presentations.
  • Promote new service offerings and cross-functional solutions that address evolving client needs.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop Managers, Supervisors, Senior Associates, and emerging leaders through ongoing training, performance feedback, and career development.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing culture focused on accountability, technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide leadership in succession planning and team development initiatives.
  • Build strong internal relationships that promote knowledge sharing and organizational success.
  • Oversee engagement administration, including budgeting, billing, scheduling, resource planning, and profitability.
  • Monitor engagement performance and address budget variances, scheduling challenges, and operational risks.
  • Ensure compliance with professional standards, quality control requirements, and continuing professional education (CPE) obligations.
  • Support strategic initiatives that improve operational efficiency, client satisfaction, and practice growth.
