About The Position
Orrick’s Technology Companies Group is seeking a Managing Associate or Senior Associate with 6 to 8 years of experience with a passion for high-growth emerging technology businesses to join the San Francisco, Silicon Valley, New York, Boston, Seattle, Austin, or Santa Monica office. Orrick is proud to be one of the only firms to offer a destination practice with deep Silicon Valley roots and a broad global platform that scales with our clients as they grow. During the past two years, we closed more than 2,000 deals valued at $80 billion in venture capital financings, representing such hot tech companies as Anthropic, Deel, Mistral, Stripe, as well as investors including Atomico, Bessemer, Coatue Management, Crosslink, Fifth Wall and Marcy Venture Partners. We have advised on numerous high-profile M&A deals in the market, including SAP’s acquisition of Wilke, BeReal’s sale Voodoo, MosaicML’s sale to Databricks and Casetext’s sale to Thomson Reuters.
Requirements
- 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in a major law firm, focusing on private offerings, venture capital, and transactions for emerging companies
- Highly driven individual
- Outstanding academic skills in both verbal, written communication
- Excellent interpersonal abilities
- Admission to the state bar of the office in which the candidate would be located is required
