About The Position

We are seeking a highly analytical and motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Associate, Valuations in Montreal. This person will play a pivotal role in supporting the Valuation function within Finance and, more broadly, across the Sagard global platform to ensure compliance with the applicable governance standards, enhance stakeholder communication and assist within the commercial decisions framework.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of relevant experience in valuations, private equity, alternative asset management, professional firm, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skillset, with hands-on experience in financial modelling and valuations.
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with evolving priorities.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and a proactive team player.
• Undergraduate or graduate degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• For all positions in Québec, proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written, is mandatory. English is required due to regular interaction with colleagues and external partners outside Québec.

Nice To Haves

• Professional designations such as CPA, CFA, or CBV are considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Play an active role in the valuation of investments across private equity, credit, and venture capital portfolios.
• Support strategic initiatives and projects including acquisitions, equity transactions, fund performance analysis, and valuation of the management company.
• Perform in-depth valuation analyses by gathering, structuring, and interpreting complex financial data.
• Contribute to research, data visualization, and the preparation of valuation materials and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
