About The Position

As a member of the Private Equity Operations Team, the Senior Associate, Treasury Operations will provide operational support for Adams Street’s fund investment entities and separate account clients, with a focus on cash movements, wire processing, cash reconciliations, and related internal controls. This role is an experienced individual contributor who can independently manage day-to-day treasury workflows and apply sound judgment to exceptions. The Senior Associate will have demonstrated knowledge of end-to-end wire processing and will work closely with other internal and external partners to execute transactions accurately, resolve issues, and improve operational processes.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree required.
  • 4–6 years of relevant experience in treasury operations, cash management, financial operations, or a related function within financial services.
  • Experience in a high-volume, control-focused environment with responsibility for managing multiple priorities and changing deadlines.
  • Experience with private equity, private credit, or other private markets asset classes required.
  • Demonstrated experience processing cash wires and working with banking platforms, including domestic and international payments.
  • Practical knowledge of wire workflows, including setup, payment release and approval processes, settlement, monitoring, and resolution of exceptions.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues and external contacts across functions and levels of seniority.
  • Ability to clearly communicate transaction details, issues, risks, and recommended next steps.
  • Ability to write accurate, clear, concise, and professional messages.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability, with the ability to work independently and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Detail-oriented, process-minded, and precise, with a consistent focus on accuracy and control adherence.
  • Sound judgment and a proactive, solution-oriented approach to identifying and resolving operational issues.

  • Experience with treasury management systems, banking portals, proprietary software programs, and database systems.
  • Strong working knowledge of wire processing and cash movement workflows.

Nice To Haves

  • VBA, programming, data analysis, or automation experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with FX transactions is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Process transactions for fund investment entities and separate account clients, including capital calls, distributions, and other investment-related cash activity.
  • Initiate, monitor, and settle domestic and international cash wire and FX transactions through the treasury management system and applicable banking platforms.
  • Apply working knowledge of wire setup, payment workflows, transaction verification, approval requirements, settlement monitoring, and exception resolution.
  • Follow established security protocols and internal controls for wire processing, escalating unusual, incomplete, or higher-risk activity to the appropriate manager.
  • Reconcile investment fund cash activity daily and support the resolution of complex or aged reconciliation breaks in partnership with Investment Accounting.
  • Interact with custodian banks, administrators, investment fund contacts, and other external partners to prevent and resolve operational issues.
  • Respond to requests for information from internal and external stakeholders with accurate, clear, and timely information.
  • Contribute to process improvements, application development, testing, automation, and rollout initiatives that improve scalability and reduce manual effort.
  • Support cross-functional projects with Investment Accounting, Client Operations, Technology, and other teams.
  • Develop a strong understanding of Adams Street’s investment strategies, private markets operations, and operational infrastructure.
  • Comply with all internal controls, audit requirements, security measures, compliance standards, and firm policies.
