About The Position

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Associate to join the Total Portfolio Rebalancing & Modelling team within PDRE in TFM for a 12-month contract. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of research to support portfolio management and execution activities. She/he will work closely with teams in PDRE and across TFM to ensure effective implementation of the Balancing process. The Total Fund Management department (“TFM”) is responsible for the successful implementation of the Fund’s investment framework. These activities are focused on designing and delivering the Strategic Portfolio, our long-term vision for the intended investment portfolio five or more years into the future. TFM works with the active Investment Departments to effectively characterize and allocate to active investment strategies, with the aim of achieving the Strategic Portfolio over time. TFM also works on the total Fund daily investment cycle, including all the processes, systems, and data needed to structure the investment portfolio in response to the on-going flow of cash and exposures into and out of the Fund. TFM consists of five groups: Beta, Collateral & Liquidity Management; Dynamic Portfolio Management; Portfolio Design, Research & Engineering; Strategy & Business Management; and Trading. The Portfolio Design, Research and Engineering group (“PDRE”) is responsible for recommending the Fund’s risk appetite and portfolio allocations across key investment horizons. As the Fund’s centre for top-down investment research, PDRE combines rigorous analysis with practical portfolio design to inform strategic and tactical investment decisions. PDRE develops sophisticated research, models and portfolio analytics spanning factor investing, portfolio characterization, quantitative modelling, scenario analysis, portfolio construction and asset allocation for the active and balancing programs. In addition, the group builds the investment platforms, analytical tools and core engineering capabilities that underpin systematic, quantitative and fundamental research across TFM and partner departments, enabling consistent, data-driven investment decisions throughout the organization.
