About The Position

This role is part of Alcon's Supply Chain function, a team that manages logistics, inventory management, and supply chain analytics for Alcon's industry leading products to ensure products are delivered efficiently and effectively so that people can see brilliantly. The Supply Chain Flow and Automation Analyst role is designed for an early-to-mid career professional with strong analytical capabilities, growing technical depth, and the ability to contribute to supply chain systems, data automation, analytics, and decision intelligence initiatives. The Supply Chain Flow & Automation Analyst supports supply chain performance through data analytics, automation, reporting, and decision-support solutions. This role partners with business stakeholders to improve processes, automate workflows, develop actionable insights, and support data-driven decision-making across planning, inventory, procurement, manufacturing, transportation, and distribution functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs; Assoc.+6 yrs; M.S.+0 yrs)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
  • 2 Years of Relevant Experience

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience in supply chain analytics, business systems, automation, data analysis, or related areas.
  • Strong SQL skills, including data transformation, validation, and query optimization.
  • Experience developing or supporting Python-based automation and data-processing solutions.
  • Familiarity with supply chain processes, including planning, inventory management, procurement, manufacturing, transportation, or distribution.
  • Experience with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, and data modeling concepts.
  • Experience with Aera, Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, AWS QuickSight, or similar analytics tools.
  • Exposure to workflow automation platforms, APIs, Power Automate, Power Apps, Aera Decision Intelligence, or similar technologies.
  • Interest in emerging technologies, including AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance supply chain analytics, reporting, and decision-support solutions.
  • Gather and translate business requirements into dashboards, reports, automation workflows, alerts, and recommendations.
  • Build and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, validation, and analysis.
  • Develop and maintain Python scripts and automation solutions to improve efficiency and reduce manual processes.
  • Create and support scalable data models, dashboards, and self-service reporting tools using platforms such as Aera, Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, and Excel.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve existing analytics, automation, and decision-support solutions.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability through testing, reconciliation, and validation activities.
  • Document business processes, data flows, technical solutions, and testing results to support governance and knowledge transfer.
  • Present analytical findings, risks, and recommendations to business stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency within the supply chain.
