About The Position

Senior Associate, Senior Process Manager - Subpoena Fulfillment A great opportunity exists for a detail-oriented, confident and highly organized professional to join Capital One’s Subpoena Fulfillment and Intake team. This person will manage, develop, and motivate a dynamic group of legal professionals who receive, review, research, and fulfill on third-party subpoenas issued to Capital One. In addition, this role involves partnership and collaboration with external requestors (e.g. prosecutors, civil attorneys) as well as internal business groups to meet desired outcomes. The Sr. Process Manager will develop a strong knowledge of subpoena fulfillment and intake processes, data and systems. The role requires a proactive individual with the ability to juggle multiple tasks, consistently manage a group of high performing associates, and meet expectations of team-based metrics. In order to achieve meaningful, collaborative time in the office, working onsite at the Riverwoods location in accordance with the Capital One hybrid policy is expected.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or military experience
  • At least 1 year of experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or Google Suite
  • At least 1 year of experience interpreting and working with legal documents in a law firm or in house legal department

Responsibilities

  • Manage and provide oversight of a team to insure legal requests are completed timely and within stated team benchmarks
  • Utilize strong judgment for issues that require escalation to in-house counsel, manager, other departments, and/or senior leadership
  • Actively participate as part of the leadership team to drive well managed agendas with a primary focus on engaging and supporting the entire group
  • Provide continuous feedback and coaching to associates to maintain high quality results and a strong customer experience
  • Proactively identify and problem-solve issues or process improvements within scope; work closely with management to insure appropriate prioritization
  • Communicate with requesting parties/agencies to resolve ambiguous requests
  • When necessary, provide hands-on support to assist team with production work
  • Ensure timely administrative responsibilities of time cards, participation in team meetings, attendance, reporting, etc…
  • Actively support and comply with team and department objectives
