About The Position

The Senior Associate Scientist, Neuroscience Discovery Biology, works within the Neuroscience TRC, which develops transformational therapeutics for neurodegenerative, neuromuscular, and neuropsychiatric diseases. The group uses internal and external partnerships across disease areas and treatment modalities, including small molecules, biologics, and genetic medicines. Its research focuses on causal human biology, matching therapeutic modalities to molecular mechanisms, and translational discovery toward clinical proof of concept. The role uses advanced cellular and biochemical methods to address neuroscience project questions. The scientist independently designs, executes, and analyzes in vitro and ex vivo experiments supporting target validation, mechanism-of-action studies, and lead optimization; helps develop and optimize assays, disease models, and translational approaches; and produces and communicates high-quality data packages. The position collaborates with multidisciplinary project teams and contributes to troubleshooting and a collaborative, inclusive, scientifically rigorous laboratory environment.
