Responsibilities

Prepare and analyze samples such as pigments, fluoropolymers, inorganic materials, coatings, films, powders, dispersions, formulated products, and related samples using microscopy and complementary characterization techniques.
Plan and execute microscopy studies to evaluate morphology, particle size and shape, dispersion quality, phase structure, surface features, defects, interfaces, agglomeration, and material interactions within application systems.
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot microscopy and sample preparation equipment
Develop, refine, and document sample preparation and imaging methods that improve data quality, repeatability, and relevance to technology and application performance questions.
Analyze, interpret, and summarize imaging and characterization data to identify structure-property-performance relationships across multiple product and technology areas.
Collaborate with product development scientists, technical service, process technology, manufacturing, and business teams to support new product development, troubleshooting, competitive analysis, process understanding, and customer application needs.
Communicate technical findings through written reports, presentations, recommendations, and clear visual summaries for scientific and business audiences.
Contribute to safe laboratory operations by following procedures, supporting hazard reviews, maintaining equipment readiness, and improving characterization workflows.
