Senior Associate - SALT (Transaction Advisory)
About The Position
We’re partnering with a rapidly growing, PE-backed advisory firm expanding its Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) platform across the US. This is an opportunity to join a high-performing, entrepreneurial team advising private equity firms, lenders, and corporates on complex mid-market M&A transactions. The role sits within the firm’s State & Local Tax (SALT) practice and offers strong exposure to live deal environments, client interaction, and accelerated progression. Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience within M&A Tax / SALT
- Background in Big 4, Big Law, or a leading advisory platform
- Exposure to live transaction environments and diligence workstreams
- Strong understanding of income/non-income tax and multi-state issues
- CPA, JD, MST, or LLM required
Responsibilities
- Support buy-side and sell-side SALT diligence engagements
- Identify and quantify state & local tax risks and opportunities
- Review tax returns, financials, and transaction documentation
- Draft client-ready diligence reports and presentations
- Work closely with senior deal teams and private equity clients
- Assist with structuring considerations and transaction modelling
- Contribute to a fast-paced, collaborative, growth-oriented environment
