About The Position

FIGS is hiring a Senior Associate, Raw Materials - Trim to play an integral role in a fast-growing medical apparel company. We are looking for someone who has a desire to lead, tackles projects with attention to detail and a creative approach, and inspires others with a positive can-do attitude. This position is for someone who wants to jump in headfirst to make an immediate impact and work in a collaborative team environment. We are looking for someone with a strong technical knowledge of trim, packaging and its testing & inspection standards.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Apparel, Textiles or Merchandising or related field preferred
3+ years of experience in the fashion industry with a knowledge of trim development for garments and handbags
Must be able to identify issues and analyze relevant data to determine the correct and appropriate course of action and generate solutions
Strong knowledge of trim testing requirements
Must be deadline driven and have a proactive and creative approach to problem solving
Excellent organizational, communication, follow-up skills and attention to detail
Ability to juggle multiple deadlines and tasks in a fast paced environment
Strong sense of urgency and intuitive sense of priorities & accuracy
Proficient in PLM, data bases, Excel, Adobe Illustrator and MS Office applications
Strong command of written and spoken English
Must be able to lift and handle packages in excess of 40 lbs

Responsibilities

Work closely with Design to source and develop seasonal and CORE trim & packaging for garment and accessories including handbags
Owns development to commercialization to ensure alignment with the strategic vision of the FIGS brand
Vet new artwork for feasibility and provide technical feedback to design
Build and manage supplier relationships
Recommend alternatives when cost, timing, or quality become issues
Developing new colorways in trim artwork
Trend research
Establish, manage and maintain comprehensive trim library
Ensure the timely creation and upkeep of PLM system
Manage the quality approval of developments in a timely and accurate manner
Ensure all trackers are up to date and alert management of potential delays
Prepare and present seasonal trend forecasts
Ensure that all developed trim & packaging meet FIGS testing and inspection protocols for quality and wash requirements
Maintain collaborative and strong partnerships with key strategic vendors
Responsible for proactively addressing any development issues and ensuring proper communication internally and externally that all are buy-ready.
Book production quantities with RMS as needed ahead of PO
Manage all quality approval, tracking, testing and inspection of trim production
