About The Position

The M365 Technical Project Manager is responsible for leading the delivery of enterprise-scale Microsoft 365 initiatives, with an immediate focus on M365 Optimization (cost, licensing, governance, and adoption) and long-term ownership of Digital Workplace transformation programs, including Copilot enablement and platform modernization. This role requires a strong blend of technical acumen, program delivery expertise, financial management, and stakeholder engagement to drive measurable business outcomes and ensure platform scalability, compliance, and cost efficiency.

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent and typically requires 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Project Coordination & Execution: Ability to support delivery of technical initiatives, track progress, and ensure alignment to scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders across Engineering, Security, Finance, and Business teams.
  • Analytical & Financial Awareness: Basic capability to interpret usage data, track licensing metrics, and support cost optimization initiatives.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Ability to identify risks, escalate issues, and support mitigation planning.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to provide clear status updates and documentation.
  • Adaptability: Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities and technologies, including emerging AI and collaboration tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to Microsoft 365 licensing models, cost optimization strategies, and governance frameworks.
  • Experience supporting digital workplace or collaboration platform initiatives (e.g., Teams rollout, SharePoint migrations, Copilot enablement).
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid models).
  • Experience using project and portfolio management tools (e.g., Planview, Jira, Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps).
  • Basic understanding of compliance, security, and access control concepts in enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

  • Support execution of Microsoft 365 initiatives, including optimization, migrations, and enhancements
  • Maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, risks, and dependencies
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across Engineering, Security, Compliance, Finance, and Business Units
  • Track delivery against defined scope, funding, and success metrics
  • Assist in driving M365 optimization efforts, including license rationalization and usage tracking
  • Support cost management processes, including budget tracking and reporting in partnership with Finance
  • Help implement governance and compliance frameworks aligned with enterprise policies
  • Monitor and escalate risks related to security, access, and platform inconsistencies
